3 Wildly Successful Steps for Starting Your Day

How you start your day will make or break how the day unfolds and produces toward the future that you want.

If you start your day with emails, TV, or I have to do this again.  Expect to get the results that will produce. It isn’t pretty and it will lead to a life of unfulfillment and dissatisfaction.

If you want a life of satisfaction you have to live with Intended Purpose.  People think that means living with your goals in mind. While this is important.  Having goals will not get you to the end result unless you have daily habits that set you up for success.  

Small habits lead to big results.  Habits are consistent and cumulative.  So set yourself up for success starting today and to win.

1. Get Up one Hour earlier than you are currently getting up to practice self-care.

Now if you are already getting up one hour before everyone else in your household that’s great. It’s time to use that for self-care.

You need time for your mind to relax and prepare for the day. If you are getting out of bed and then rushing for the next hour trying to get everything done before you head out the door. Chances are your day will follow in the same way and you will be behind for the whole day. So get yourself up.

If you don’t think you can adjust try this trick. Set your clock back one minute a day until you get your 60 minutes each day. That way your body can adjust slowly over time. But until you start self-care in your life then you will always be trying to get to your purpose and dream, but you will never reach them.

2. Get Healthy both Physically and Mentally.

This means moving 30 minutes a day in some way that comes naturally to you. Some way that just gets you up and moving that you can enjoy. Going for a walk, riding a bike, swimming, going to the gym, running, playing a sport, whatever allows you to move and enjoy that activity.

Drink 50 ounces of water per 100 lbs you weigh. I suggest alkaline water, but if you don’t have that then use lemon in your water throughout the day. Having lemon in your water helps to reduce the acid in your body.

Eat Healthy food. Now if you aren’t currently a healthy eater I don’t recommend that you go out and completely change your diet today. The likelihood is you wouldn’t stick with it for the long haul. But pick one category of food for a 30 day period and replace it with a healthy alternative. Say eliminate soda and diet soda and replace that with water or sugar and replace with fruit or bread and pasta with good carbs. When you do one change every 30 days you see results and your body doesn’t go into fight or flight mode because you are taking away it’s pleasure center.

You can also help your brain refocus by helping it see that food is not being taken away, but that you have a goal of living a healthier lifestyle so you are going to eat to meet the goal of being healthy. Drink water first thing in the morning to get your brain working to maximum capacity and get protein. Shakes, eggs or something that will fuel the need for protein.

3. Practice Mediation, Gratitude and Self Development

This is really important to getting your mind to slow and focus on the progress you want to make in your life. Making progress toward your goals happens when you practice meditation.
