I am so excited about the possibilities of what my life will become. I have been working so hard the last two years learning who I am. Life is a constant journey of discovery, and I am embracing the journey.
Some days it feels like I am falling backward and other days I take giant leaps forward. When you embrace the curiosity of who you are and your journey purpose, it transforms before your eyes, and you begin to see the joy of being you.
We all have our journey to become. Today, I am going to give you two recommendations that have been like gold for me in the process over the last couple of weeks.
The first is from Mastin Kipp’s – Claim Your Power. It is Day 12 – Discover your Purpose Exercise – page 92 – 103.
In this exercise, you will walk through a series of emotions from times in your life when you felt your best. From those emotions, you will discover what is your purpose right now.
The purpose of my life is to ACCEPT myself all my parts and my Higher Power (GOD) and feel the CONNECTION that results while inspiring others to do the same.
This purpose statement has been an amazing clarification for my mind. It has allowed me to walk into who I am becoming. It has given me the freedom of knowing that I am enough the way I am.
The second exercise is from Mike Bayer – Best Self – Be You, Only Better.
This exercise has helped me to see that there is an authentic me that has amazing traits and makes me who I am. It is called: Create Your Best Self.
It allows you to look at all your good qualities. It provides a list that will assist you in thinking about what are your best qualities.
Then you draw what this person or character would look like.
I have, for many years, thought of myself as an owl. This character for me became an owl that sits way up in the tree looking all around her and being very aware of her surroundings. She is a nurturing wise owl, that has many layers. She is wisely making decisions, but when she soars. Watch out. She is going to get what she has set her eye on.
I love this vision of myself. It is so consistent with how I think of myself. I find it is also helping me with the purpose of accepting myself and all my parts. I am a complicated person with lots of layers and a nurturer who loves people and wants the best for everyone around me.
So I encourage you to get these two books and walk through these exercises for yourself. Your journey of becoming will be made clearer.
